Interesting Tidbit
Acupuncture points are located by muscles and bones and distance between landmarks on the body, such as joints, like elbow to wrist and knee to ankle. For example, there are 12 anatomical Chinese inches between the wrist and the elbow joints, but not every body is the same size. Sometimes I use a little tool that was invented by a man in Europe long ago. It is called an ACI locator. It gives great precision of where an acupuncture point is on the body for points that are not as easily found as the points on the feet or hands or places right next to joint bones. Accuracy of getting the needle right on the acupuncture point gives the best results. Here is a picture of it. It expands according to different body sizes.
