I offer allergy elimination treatments using specific acupuncture points, kinesiology and bioenergetic vials of the offending allergen. The needles are left in for 20 minutes while you hold the vial of the allergen you are being desensitized to. It is best to be treated for seasonal allergies off season, but treatments do help even if they are treated when the offending allergen is in season.
Environmental allergies can be aggravated by certain foods, such as wheat and particularly dairy products. Dairy is very mucous forming in the body and in Chinese medicine it creates phlegm and dampness in the body. Many people will find that eliminating dairy products make their allergies much better. Once in a while is okay, but daily dairy products will almost always make allergies worse. Of course, genetics also play a role in allergies.
Weak adrenal glands can be a contributing factor to allergies. Extra Vitamin C and pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) may be good supplements for your adrenal glands. If you are on any prescription medications, it is always best to check with your doctor before taking supplements.
It is not uncommon for an allergen to have to be treated two or three times within a month in order for you to not be bothered by it — for the season. This is not a permanent cure for all people. For example, treating grasses. You will experience less allergic reaction to grasses in the current season when they are treated. The following year your allergy symptoms from grasses may be less than the previous year, but you will likely need to be treated each year to get the maximum relief. Most patients find these treatments very beneficial and they are able to use their medications less or not at all after treatments.
Allergy treatments alone take about 30 minutes and costs less than a full acupuncture treatment. However, it is recommended that you get at least one or two full acupuncture treatments along with the allergy treatments.
